Laura Winkle is a mother of two and grandmother of six. She was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, but lived in Idaho and Pennsylvania as a child. Laura and her husband, Skeet, currently reside in Knoxville, home of the Volunteers!
She enjoys spending time with her family and being active. She loves being by the water, whether it is the river, lake, or beach. Laura comes from a line of three generations of writers and loves to read and go to the movies.
She lives life with a grateful heart for the love she has been shown through family, friends, and her faith in Jesus.
25 Years in the Making
Laura wrote her first book, Sleep, Baby, Sleep, in 2001 — a heartfelt lullaby inspired by the tender bedtime moments between a parent and child. After more than two decades, her work was picked up by a publisher in 2024 and is now coming to life in 2026. It is a testament to patience, faith, and the belief that God's timing is always perfect.
Laura's writing is rooted in her faith and her love for family. Whether crafting a gentle lullaby for little ones or a devotional for the heart, her prayer is that her words bring comfort, joy, and a deeper connection to the love of Jesus.
